The International Textile Salon of Barcelona (STIBBCN) once again returns to WTCB
From 20 to 22 February, WTC Barcelona’s Port Vell Room will be the venue for some 15 stands at an offshoot exhibition of the International Textile Salon of Barcelona
, due to be held at Barcelona’s Maritime Museum.
Although fabric manufacturing in Catalonia has specialised in very specific apparel, Barcelona has long hosted events that showcase the city’s standing as a worldwide fashion centre. One such event is the International Textile Salon of Barcelona —better known by its Spanish acronym, STIBBCN—Spain’s number one textile fair in terms of its clients’ sales. The Salon was founded in 2002 as an initiative offering clothing manufacturers the offerings of the world’s leading weavers under a single roof. STIBBCN exhibitors represent more than 300 of the world’s most prestigious fashion collections, thus bringing together designers, apparel manufacturers, companies in the sector, students…
Barcelona closes the circuit of the most important fabric and accessory fairs in Europe, the others being Paris and Milan. STIBBCN has maintained its identity from the outset. The professionalism of its founders has created very demanding standards in apparel selection and in the purchasers invited.
