WTC BARCELONA HOSTS THE INTERNATIONAL IEEE CONFERENCE (ICDM)
The IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM 2016), known as the premier research conference on data mining, was held from 12th to 16th December 2016 at WTC Barcelona.
The event covered all aspects of data mining, algorithms, software, systems and applications from a practical standpoint for researchers and developers in different fields such as statistics, machine learning, pattern recognition, data storage, knowledge-based systems and high-performance computing.
Among the most important addresses were those of Rakesh Agrawal, CEO and founder of Data Insights Laboratories, who gave a presentation on Big Data or Big Garbage; Yoshua Bengio, of Montreal University Deep, who delivered a paper on Learning; and Elisa Bertino, of Purdue University, with a presentation on Big Data, security and privacy.
The ICDM Conference also included workshops, tutorials and panels that this year once again helped to make the international meeting a success for sector professionals in terms of papers presenting original research, exchanges and dissemination experiences surrounding innovative and practical development, which make it possible to advance in the world of data mining.
